HR Intern [Ireland]


 
BDO Ireland is currently seeking a HR Intern for our Work Placement programme.
As a HR Intern at BDO Ireland, you will play a crucial role in our HR Team, serving as a point of contact for over 500 professionals in our Dublin, Limerick, and Cork offices. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of HR tasks and administration, including contract drafting, supporting employee onboarding and everything in between. At BDO Ireland, we believe in providing extensive experience early in your career.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advice to staff on HR policies & procedures.
  • Act as a first point of contact for employee queries
  • Support with onboarding and offboarding of employees
  • Provide administrative support as required.
  • Work as part of the wider HR team on initiatives and projects
  • Forming and maintaining employee records
  • Updating internal databases
  • Preparing HR documents, such as employment contracts, salary certificates and employment letters
  • HR metrics reporting
  • Assisting with payroll preparation

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Current college student studying a business-related discipline.
  • Some work experience in a business environment would be an advantage
  • Excellent attention to detail is a key attribute of this role
  • Strong IT/Microsoft Office Skills e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to deal with and prioritise multiple tasks
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
