About the team

The Roku Content Merchandising team’s mission is to enable users to discover, acquire and engage with all the amazing content available across the Roku platform. We partner closely with teams across the company including Product, Engineering, Marketing and Operations to build and manage delightful and relevant experiences that leverage both algorithmic machine learning and editorial curation, making it easy for users to get the best entertainment experience possible from their Roku devices.



About the role

We are seeking a highly collaborative and detail-oriented self-starter with a passion for all things streaming and media to join the Merchandising team as a Merchandising Associate. Reporting to the Senior Merchandising Manager, International Content, this individual will bring local market expertise to help build and launch complex projects with numerous cross-functional stakeholders in Roku’s priority markets. They will also be responsible for leading, executing and documenting daily operations and strategy for content discovery products in LATAM territories.

This role will be based in Roku’s Mexico City office and will report to the International Merchandising team. Fluency in English and Spanish and a working proficiency in Portuguese are essential to this role.



What you’ll be doing

  • Work closely with your Merchandising teammates and cross-functional counterparts (Product, Engineering, Creative, Analytics and business teams) to launch and manage platform-level content discovery products across multiple Spanish and Portuguese-speaking markets
  • Manage daily operations for portfolio products including daily content curation from external content partners and The Roku Channel, as well as product and process documentation workflow, representation in key cross-functional stakeholder meetings, etc.
  • Contribute and execute to market strategies that drive repeat user engagement, positive sentiment and delight
  • Use sound editorial judgement, market-level expertise and data interpretation to inform content and product strategy decisions and operations


We’re excited if you have

  • A minimum of 3+ years’ experience in media, content, product strategy, operations or consulting
  • Knowledge of the media landscape in Mexico and Brazil
  • Bachelor’s degree in media, marketing or equivalent experience
  • Fluency in English and Spanish (required) and working proficiency in Portuguese
  • Experience working with content management tools
  • Familiarity with Product development and lifecycle an asset
  • Ability to read and interpret analytics data to make content and product decisions
  • Strong project management skills, attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Jira; Airtable and Confluence experience a plus
  • Skilled communicator with excellent verbal, presentation and written communications
  • Ability to work independently, but aware of when/how to ask for assistance
