Job Summary: We are seeking a hardworking and detail-oriented Laundry Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating laundry equipment to clean and sanitize linens and garments, fold and package them, and ensure that they are delivered in a timely and efficient manner.
Responsibilities:
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and package linens and garments according to established procedures
- Load and unload laundry machines and ensure that they are operating effectively and safely
- Inspect linens and garments for stains, tears, or damage, and make necessary repairs or replacements
- Maintain an inventory of laundry supplies and notify supervisor when supplies are low
- Keep laundry area clean and organized, and follow safety procedures at all times
- Deliver laundry to designated areas and ensure that they are distributed to the correct recipients
- Operate commercial ironing and pressing machines to finish and package garments
- Follow established procedures for handling and processing special laundry items, such as dry cleaning or delicate fabrics
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in laundry operations preferred
- Knowledge of laundry equipment operation and maintenance
- Ability to lift and move heavy loads of laundry, up to 50 pounds
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production quotas
